Position Summary

Hearthstone is a large facility requiring a variety of preventative and reconstructive maintenance procedures to keep the physical plant operating for both the comfort and safety of the residents. This requires someone with a working knowledge of the building systems to be always present on the building grounds.

Essential Functions Statements:

• Perform work orders, check lists, preventive maintenance work and security checks.
• Perform and complete maintenance projects including all building repairs as needed.
• Complete all tasks as requested by the Director of Maintenance
• Make key cards.
• Communicate with Department Director and Department Lead Worker on all issues.
• Answer fire alarm calls and log in system
• Take trips to get supplies as needed.
• Be able to trouble shoot and solve problems as they come up.
• To learn all the building systems with instruction form the Department Director
• Able and willing to work all shifts including day, swing and evening shifts as needed to cover 24/7 operations. 
• Assist beyond normal working hours and in other positions temporarily.
• Communicate with residents, nursing and other department personnel.
• Respect residents’ privacy and property.
• And other tasks assigned by supervisor.
